# Security & Access Control

AccAssistant protects your financial data with essential security features.

## Security Features

### Authentication

* Email and password login
* Account locks after 5 failed attempts
* Password reset via email
* Auth codes for sensitive operations

### Access Control

* Role-based permissions
* Users cannot approve own entries
* Organization data isolation
* All actions logged in audit trail

## Password Security

* Minimum 8 characters required
* Can be changed anytime
* Reset via email link

## Data Protection

* HTTPS encryption for all data
* Separate organizations completely
* Role-based access control

## If You're Locked Out

1. Contact your admin
2. Or use password reset
3. Create new password

## Security Best Practices

* Use strong passwords
* Don't share credentials
* Log out when done
* Report suspicious activity
